Rashtrapati Bhavan- The residence of the President of India was designed by Edward
Lutyens and completed in 1929. The Rashtrapati Bhavan and its
grounds are spread over 330 acres. The Bhavan has a beautiful
terrraced garden laid out in Mughal style. This is one of the most
beautiful garden which is in full bloom in the spring season.
Connaught Place/ Connaught Circus- This is one of the popular shopping complex of Delhi citizens
ever since it was completed in 1931 to mark the visit to India of
the Duke of Connaught. It is centrally located and has a number of
commercial and business establishments. A number of good hotels
and restaurants are in and around the circumference of Connaught
Place. |

The Bahai Temple- This is an eye catching edifice in the shape of a lotus flower.
The temple is beautiful in its architect design as well as in view
of its serenity. People visit this temple to get a relief from
their busy life. Founder of this temple have their faith in the
nature, and they try to fulfill their requirements with the gifts
of the nature. Electricity used in this temple is also a product
of solar power. |

The National Museum- This place has a comprehensive collection of archaeological
excavations, artifacts, ancient manuscripts, sculptures, wall
paintings, coin and others. The National Museum can give a good
insight into the rich past and recent present of India and her
people.
Akshardham- Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple, constructed by the BAPS foundation and inaugurated on the 6th of November 2005 is claimed to be one of the biggest and most intricate religious places of worship ever constructed. Combining several completely different and contrasting architectural styles of Hindu temple architecture of India - Rajasthani, Orrisan, Gujarati, Mughal and Jain, the Akshardham Monument has been built using only marble and the red-sandstone that Delhi is famous for. Located on the banks of the Yamuna River in east Delhi, the temple has already become one of the most important tourist destinations in the city.
Akshardham means the eternal, divine abode of the supreme God, the abode of eternal values and virtues of Akshar as defined in the Vedas and Upanishads where divine bhakti, purity and peace forever pervades.
